Open Question: Are black guys even ghetto in corporate america?
I had a job interview the other day with a black guy at a corporation. Before the interview, I found out that he was black, and I knew I was in trouble. However, I tried to not stereotype. When I went for the interview, he was 10-20 minutes late. He had a whatever attitude.During the interview he had sunglasses on and was using his phone. It was the worst interview I'd ever had. I'd interview with a bunch of white folks afterwards and it went very well. and the main boss showed deep interest in me. However, I don't think it get that job because of that black guy.

Open Question: Is my Ray Ban Aviator fake?
I just received my Ray Ban - RB3025 Aviator Black Polarized sunglasses, and I was very happy when I got it. Now, I'm just not entirely convinced that it's authentic. I bought it from a seller on eBay, normally I would ask the seller some questions whether they are selling is authentic. I'm usually very particular/fussy when it comes to item descriptions and made sure that I'm getting my money's worth. I asked the seller if it were authentic and she did claim they are. But, after receiving it I don't believe that they are real Ray Ban Aviators and that she has lied to me. I don't know the descriptions of a genuine Ray Ban - RB3025 Black Polarized Aviators. So if anyone could tell me what I got is FAKE?
It has the following descriptions:
Right arm - Ray Ban Made in Italy CE (E is more like a curved shape)
Left arm - RB3025 58[]15-140 (the hinge on this side of the arm is quite tight and a little hard to pull/open)
Right lens - has the logo Ray-Ban P
Left lens - has the RB logo etched right on or a little above the the hinge
Nose piece - has a silver piece inside it with RB logo on both nose plastic/rubbery piece
Top bridge - Has writing across on top "B&L RAL-BAN ITALY". This made me suspect that it's fake
Case - Black hard case with a Gold Luxottica Ray Ban logo
Please, let me know if I was right about it being fake.

"I can tell that they have a promotion named Nickelodeon Your Stay Family Vacation Packages that is basically a promotion to maintain the kids entertained on the family trips, they will receive an activity books, sunglasses, balls, silicone bracelet, souvenir pillowcase, bedtime storybook, I think this is a great promotion because sometimes when a family with kids spend time in a big city they will be worried about how to keep the kids entertained and this promotion is to attract families with kids and make them to stay in the hotel without worries"

Open Question: Optometry / optician Fraud?
I was looking for sola finalite lenses mid index lenses for my frames. I have mild myopia and wear single vision lenses.
I called a particular optometry office in cerritos, california and enquired if they had sola finalite lenses. They informed me that they had the lenses (Lie #1). They asked me to go over to their office. At the optometry, I spoke to the (optician) and I think the other person was the manager . The informed me that the sola lenses I was seeking are the very best. They also informed that they do those type of lenses in house (lie #2).
I paid $407 for the lenses.
They took my PD measurements. I realized his readings were well off my regular PD measurements. I asked him to re-measure my PD which he did. He said he had obtained the same measurement .
I was getting prescription sunglasses from walmart the same day. Walmart optical checked my PD. Their measurements were accurate and corresponded with my regular PD measurements.
I called the optique and informed them that I needed my PD rechecked. This time another optician took my measurements. This time, they were accurate. They informed that the PD measurements the other optician had taken were wrong. (Red Flag)
My glasses took about a month to make. This made me start getting suspicious regarding their claim for ‘inhouse lenses’. (Red flag)
I finally got my glasses. The peripheral vision was extremely blurry. I found it odd because I did not experience this problem with the sunglasses from Walmart. Furthermore my prescription was practically the same as before. I tried them about two more days and it was clear something was very wrong. I returned them about a week later for them to check them. They (guy with ponytail) told me that their measurements were fine and that it must be my prescription. I had obtained my prescription from a different optometry. I knew it was not the prescription because I had used it for the walmart prescription sunglasses. The walmart glasses were perfect. (I paid less than $100 dollars at Walmart for BOTH lenses and frames.) After an argument he informed me that he had moved the temples, bridges etc around. He asked me to take my glasses from Walmart so he could compare measurements.
By this time I was also getting increasingly suspicious about the lenses not only because of the blur but because of the weight. I called the manufacturer for sola lenses and they informed me that they had stopped making finilite lenses a couple of years ago and that they have no idea where the optician could have got them from.
I contacted the optometry to confirm what type of lenses they had placed in my frames. They gave me the run around. Later on I spoke to manager . He mentioned they had placed another type and brand of lenses. I informed him that I had requested sola finilite lenses. I had written it down on the forms I filled out. I had informed the optician to make sure they placed SF lenses. He stated ‘oh sorry they did put in sola lenses’ . I requested the labs phone number . He placed me on hold for some time. He later came back and stated that the lab had confirmed to him that they had indeed put in sola finilite lenses in my frames.
I contacted the lab in san diego. They informed me that had put in a different brand and type of lens as requested by the optometry. I contacted the optometry and told them what the lab had told me. They got defensive. They made statements like the lenses they put in are similar to the ones I requested.
I now have a confirmation of this optiques using ‘fake lenses’ . They had lied about the lenses they had used. (FRAUD)
I went over to return the lenses, and they informed they have a no refund policy no return policy. Anyhow they removed their lenses from my frames but will not give me my money back.
Now I have potentially damaged frames , no lenses and out $407 dollars.
My frame was brand new ; but they have hassled and tagged and pulled at the frames and yanked lenses from them. The lenses are now considered used ( and potentially damaged) . Other opticians I assume will now not provide warranty if I use these frames.
$406 for plain lenses is steep; I wanted sola finilite lenses.
Following this incident the staff at this office has become rude and unprofessional. I am very shocked at their behavior. . I guess they thought I would never find out. It appears they take their clients for fools.
I have worn glasses for decades and change them about every 1-2 yrs. I have NEVER had issued with glasses from other companies. I have never returned glasses in my life or gotten glasses with distorted vision prior to coming to this optique.
Please inform me of any and all actions I can take to solve this problem. Should I obtain a police report?
