Cocoons Sunglasses Bulletins

Open Question: Why do I have an aversion to sunlight?

No, I am not a vampire, nor even goth. I prefer overcast days. I love storms. I always work nights and do all the errands I can at night. On sunny days if I must be out I always wear sunglasses but that doesn't help much. I hate the feeling of sunlight on my skin. I do tan well and my skin isn't unusually sensitive to the sun, I just don't enjoy the feeling. I keep the curtains drawn during the day. Now I understand that normally the sun invokes feelings of pleasure in people. They enjoy the feeling of warmth on their skin and the brightness makes them happy. However, I refer to the sun as that overbearing ball of hate that daily invades the sky on the pretense of making the plants grow. I know from reading statements around the internet that this is a common enough preference so as not to be totally abnormal. Now what I'm wondering is the origin of such disdain for sunlight. Is it usually a psychological phenomenon, possibly explained by some Freudian suppression of trauma? I don't have any particularly terrible experiences with sunlight. Just the usual occasional sunburn. Is it something genetic? I don't take any medication at all, let alone anything that would induce photophobia. Also, I have no illness or disorder which renders me more sensitive to sunlight. I see light normally, I just don't like it. I've even considered the possibility of some astrological explanation but I haven't found any reference to anything. So what could explain why so many people have an aversion so uncharacteristic of humans?

Open Question: Best halloween costume idea ? I know its far-ish away but Im just wondering?

I was gonna be LMFAO with my friend this year, like the whole afro wig, sunglasses, boombox on shoulder thing. But, as stupid as this sounds, I just got over a pretty bad breakup, and I want to look... good this Halloween. To make him jealous. Please dont judge me though, Im just trying to ask a question. Anyways, so , I was thinking it'd look good if I went as tinker bell, or a fairy. With the glitter and little dress. I wouldnt show too much, but.. yeah. Anyways, which one should I go as? Should i dress up funny , or hot? And dont be rude. It was hard deciding whether to post this up in the first place cause i cant make up my mind

Open Question: What do you think of my Bret Michales Halloween costume idea?

Okay, so I've got sunglasses, a cowboy hat that's curved at the sides, a head bandanna, a v-neck shirt, skinny jeans, and I'll have my mom do my eye liner and black nail polish. All I'm needing is a wig, which we can take care of later on. Should I get some fake sleeve tattoos too? Just what do you think?

Open Question: Is it better to spend some cash on a pair of polarized sunglasses at Sunglass Hut or just from a swap meet?

Because I'm driving now and it bugs me a lot when I drive in the evening and the sun gets in my eyes that I have to try and block it with the "flap" (no idea what to call it) in the driver's seat, but I'm so short that it hardly works. My mom keeps telling me to get a pair of polarized glasses so it's not a problem. Which comes into the question for the sake of my money conscience. I got a nice pair of Versace polarized sunglasses at Sunglass Hut for around $214. It doesn't have those amber or color tint to the lenses but rather when I put them on, it's more or less grayish which I've read up is supposed to be the ideal tint. Besides that, these pairs are the very first pair I've gotten and I wasn't happy about the price, but my mom insisted that it was fine. I'm not the type to spend much on anything or the type to lose something as small as a pair of sunglasses so I thought it would be fine. I also was planning on using these pair for outdoor strolls like at the beach or something, so the sunglasses are not just for driving. When I told my friend about the sunglasses, she was so shocked because she's the type to buy clothing from thrift stores and accessories from swap meets. She said," Why couldn't you just get a pair of brand name sunglasses at a swap meet?" and my answer is usually because I don't go to these places frequently and I don't have the time since I only have a permit at the moment. The only logical argument is that many things at a swap meet tend to be counterfeits so I'd rather not go through the hassle of getting a pair that don't even do the job right. Plus, I've already checked at Ross and TJ Maxx for any cheaper pair, but many of them are too small for my head, aren't polarized, and/or not my style.
